Meet Ashley Kirkland

Ashley Kirkland is a divorce and family law attorney at Wright Family Law Group, where she focuses on the financial analysis and formal discovery that shape how a case is built. In family law, the financial picture often drives both strategy and outcome, and Ashley’s work makes sure the legal team has accurate, organized, and meaningful evidence behind every decision.

On the financial side, Ashley coordinates the initial document exchange required under Massachusetts Rule 410, prepares court-compliant financial statements, and reviews tax returns, bank records, business documents, and retirement accounts for completeness and consistency. She traces assets, analyzes income and cash flow for Child Support Guidelines purposes, and builds the summaries, chronologies, and exhibits the legal team relies on in settlement discussions, mediation, and trial preparation.

On the discovery side, Ashley develops discovery strategy alongside the assigned attorney and drafts interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and subpoenas. She tracks what has been requested and what remains outstanding, identifies deficiencies in the other side’s responses, and prepares deficiency letters, motions to compel, and the legal research and memoranda that support them.

A Cum Laude graduate of the University of Memphis, Ashley built her legal foundation on academic excellence and a genuine commitment to advocacy. She served on Law Review, where she sharpened her research and writing skills, and on the Moot Court Board, where she discovered her love for oral advocacy. She began her career as a law clerk for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, working closely with judges and attorneys and gaining invaluable, hands-on experience in divorce and family law. Her time there gave her a strong understanding of courtroom procedures, case management, and the unique challenges families face during these transitions.

Clients often meet Ashley at one of the harder points in a divorce, when it is time to gather years of financial records and answer formal discovery. She takes the time to explain what is being asked and why, and she works to make a demanding process feel manageable.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys hiking, camping, reading fiction, and playing tennis. For Ashley, family law is more than a career. She is committed to walking alongside clients through life’s challenges and helping them build brighter, more stable futures.
