Meet Corey Lafontant

Corey Lafontant serves as a Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Paralegal at Wright Family Law Group, where she provides critical financial analysis and litigation support in complex family law matters. Combining her formal training in paralegal studies with extensive professional experience in financial services, Corey assists attorneys in understanding, organizing, and presenting the financial dimensions of divorce and family law cases.

Corey analyzes financial statements, business records, tax returns, and asset documentation to help attorneys evaluate marital estates, identify financial trends, and develop strategic positions for both settlement negotiations and trial preparation. She plays an integral role in preparing financial summaries, tracing assets, and organizing financial evidence used in discovery, mediation, and litigation.

In addition to her analytical work, Corey assists the firm’s attorneys with litigation support by organizing financial exhibits, preparing document productions, and ensuring that financial records are accurately presented for court proceedings. Her work helps transform complex financial information into clear, structured data that supports both courtroom advocacy and efficient settlement discussions.

Corey’s background includes significant experience managing financial accounts, resolving disputes, and handling confidential records within highly regulated financial environments. This experience gives her a practical understanding of financial systems and documentation that is invaluable in family law cases involving income analysis, debt allocation, and asset division.

Known for her attention to detail and disciplined approach to financial review, Corey ensures that every financial issue in a case is carefully examined and clearly documented. She understands that the financial aspects of divorce and family law disputes are often deeply personal and consequential, and she approaches her work with professionalism, discretion, and care. Corey earned her Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies from North Shore Community College and is a Certified Financial Paralegal and Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Much of her free time is spent cheering on her kids at sporting events and activities, balancing an active family life with her continued professional development.
