Marie E. Reidy is an experienced family law attorney who brings more than two decades of dedicated practice to Wright Family Law, where she conducts client consultations and provides strategic guidance in complex divorce and family law matters. Marie understands that clients often seek legal counsel during periods of significant personal transition, and she is committed to offering a thoughtful, compassionate, and practical approach to every case.
Attorney Reidy received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law and earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Florida. While in law school, she worked for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office before beginning her career at a general practice firm, prior to opening her own law firm.
Throughout her career, Attorney Reidy has concentrated on divorce and matrimonial law, including matters involving custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, and complex asset division. She has extensive litigation experience in Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol Counties and is a Certified Divorce and Family Law Mediator, primarily practicing on the South Shore. In addition, she is trained in Collaborative Law, is a Parenting Coordinator, Conciliator, and ARC Attorney (Attorney Representing Children).
Attorney Reidy has been appointed by the Probate and Family Court as a Category F Guardian ad Litem in multiple counties, where she is entrusted to investigate and report on matters involving children, including custody disputes, visitation issues, relocation cases, and allegations of domestic violence or substance abuse. Her work in this role reflects a strong commitment to objectivity, ethics, and the best interests of children.
In addition to her private practice experience, Attorney Reidy has served in leadership roles within the legal community, including as a Supervising Attorney overseeing and mentoring family law attorneys, developing training programs, and ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct. She has also served as Lawyer of the Day for the Plymouth County Probate and Family Court, providing assistance to self-represented litigants, and has participated in the Limited Assistance Representation pilot program to expand access to legal services. Attorney Reidy has presented seminars related to domestic violence issues and remains active in community service.
